As the festive season is approaching, we would like to offer a collection of paintings made by an exceptionally gifted 8-year-old artist. His works are a joy to eyes and music to uplift someone’s soul. Paintings express a lot of beauty, emotions, and colors…Just to share- Pranav started learning painting when he was 6 years. There has been no stopping since then. He likes to play with colors- pour/splash/ dab and everything fun. He does not sketch first— starts with pouring colors straight on the canvas. He has participated in 1 international exhibition and 6 national exhibitions. He does not know the magic that he is creating. He just does it because he loves it. Life is full of colour and adventure and so is Pranav.

Pranav was 7 days old when doctors introduced us to the fact that he had Down Syndrome. It took us a few days to come out of this and understand that LIFE is what we make out of it. A label cannot change what we want to be and what we can. We started with early intervention therapy when he was 3 months old. There has been no stopping and looking back.

 

His journey of colours started with a trial class at the Arts and Souls Academy. The trial class was a seed to help him grow into an artist and use his love for colour to create the paintings he makes today. Over the last 2 years, he has learnt to express himself more and more using the riot of colours that is often seen in his works. Pranav enjoys painting directly on canvas without first making sketches. He paints with acrylic, oils and uses different materials and instruments to give texture and emotion to his paintings. He loves to play and experiment without any pre-conceived notion of what the final painting should look like, leaving us to take our best guess!

Birds

He loves  skating, playing pranks with his brother and reading books. Pranav is so full of love and life whole day and for every one that there is no chance you can choose to ignore him and his notorious smile. His best friend is his elder brother Lakshya  with whom he shares a special bonding. They both Love and fight like anything . Lakshya is the chief mentor at home and Pranav follows him blind eyed 😊. 

Pranav has always been a bundle of joy who has made us understand that we need not have a perfect life to be happy and ecstatic.  Happiness is something that we find within. We can be happy with what we have and at the same time keep working on improving  ourselves and our lives.
